Presenter Reggie Yates joins Doctor Who

Former Top Of The Pops presenter Reggie Yates will play a leading role in the new series of Doctor Who. BBC Radio 1 DJ Yates, 23, will star as the brother of the Time Lord's new assistant, medical student Martha Jones - played by Freema Agyeman.

November launch date for HD-DVD

Toshiba has confirmed that it will launch its first HD-DVD player in Europe on 15 November. The €599 (£400) HD-E1 will be released two days before rival Blu-ray players, which are available within Sony's new PlayStation 3 console.
